The 5 G's
The Five G’s are five distinctive areas of one’s life that will be touched – and formed – over the life-long journey of Christian spiritual formation. Each of these areas increasingly takes on unique characteristics of a life devoted to Jesus. And while they reflect maturing relationship with God in general, they are particularly indicative of one’s involvement in the life of the local church. They are the basis upon which we build our understanding of being a Participating Member.

Grace...
The individual appropriation of the saving work of Christ followed by Baptism as a believer. God saved you by His special favor when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. (Ephesians 2:8-9) -
Growth...
The ongoing evidence of a changing life and pursuit of Christlikeness. But grow in the special favor and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be all glory and honor, both now and forevermore. Amen. (2 Peter 3:18) -
Group...
Participation in the body of Christ and connection with others in significant relationship. They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity. (Acts 2:46) -
Gifts...
Serving Christ’s body according to spiritual giftedness and passion. God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out when you have faith that God is speaking through you. If your gift is that of serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, do a good job of teaching. If your gift is to encourage others, do it! If you have money, share it generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly. (Romans 12:6-8) -
Good Stewardship...
Honoring God with one’s material resources and supporting the church using the biblical precedent of the tithe as a goal to reach or exceed as God prospers. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in My Temple. If you do,” says the LORD Almighty, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Let Me prove it to you! (Malachi 3:10)
