Our Core Doctrinal Beliefs

  • 1. We believe that the Bible is the Word of God. As such, it is fully trustworthy in all it teaches and affirms (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21).

  • 2. We believe in one eternal God who exists as Father, Son and Holy Spirit and that our Lord Jesus Christ was begotten, not created, truly God, truly man, born of a virgin and without sin (Mark 12:29; I Timothy 3:16; John 1:1,14).

  • 3. We believe that all people are born with a fallen and broken nature and cannot be saved except through faith in the death and resurrection of Christ. We believe Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and no man comes to the Father except through Him. (Ephesians 2:8, Romans 3:23, John14:6)

  • 4. We believe in the spiritual unity of all who are born of God and confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We confess even those Christ followers with whom we disagree and others whom we exclude because of our un-willful ignorance (Romans 10:12; John 17:20-21, Luke 6:37)

  • 5. We believe in being committed to the truth of God's Word as, it has been embraced by the Christian Church for generations, regardless of its popularity or prevailing cultural trends (I Peter 1:22-25; I Corinthians 15:1-4, Jude 1:3)

  • 6. We believe that grace, healing, love and service are essential components to any viable witness of Christ (Micah 6:8, James 5:14-16, John 13:34-35, Mark 10:43-45)

  • 7. We believe that our posture towards the lost and unbelieving is to be one of humility and compassion, not mean-spirited or arrogantly judgmental even as we seek to embrace the Christian message with intensity and passion (Mark 10:42-45; I Peter 3:15).

  • 8. We believe that those who are called by the name of Christ should seek to live a Godly life and contend for moral and sexual purity as commanded in the Holy Scriptures which show us the path of life (1 Corinthians 9:6-20; I John 5:2-3).

  • 9. We believe that Jesus has given the church ordinances of water baptism to be administered in His name, and the Lord's Supper (communion) for the believers' identification with His life, death and resurrection until He comes again at His Second Coming (Acts 2:38; I Corinthians 11:23-26, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
