Urban Ministry is similar to a mission trip, as it offers an invitation to challenge volunteers to walk in the footsteps of Christ.
Opportunities include outreach to the homeless, working with troubled women and children and caring for the elderly.

Homeless Church
Their mission is to bring the saving, life-changing power of Jesus Christ to the hurting in San Francisco. There is a solution for homelessness that does not lie in just outer changes, but more importantly in inner changes. God can bring hope to the hopeless, healing to the sick, confidence to those who have none left.Volunteers will be involved in worship time, prayer, fellowship and evangelism.
Edgewood Center
Edgewood Center for Children and Families provides children with an opportunity to grow into self-reliant individuals. All children need and benefit from the best efforts and support of their families and community. When these support systems are overburdened, children, families, and communities suffer and require assistance. Edgewood promotes resiliency in children, strengthens families, and supplements services in the community through a continuum of specialized programs.Volunteers will be involved in bringing God’s love to these children in transition by cooking and/or providing a meal, spending time with the them, loving them and providing a positive role model.
