Weekend Support

Do you believe that first impressions can make a huge impact?
Do you believe that creating an welcoming environment is a must?
Great! So do we.
Choose from a variety of volunteer opportunities that help make our weekend service experience an inviting and memorable one for our guests and community.
Connection Counter
The Connection Counter volunteers help visitors and members with basic information, events, registration and growth opportunities.
For more information about serving at our Mission Campus, contact Tania Dufour. Contact Kelly Easter for more information about serving at our Merced Campus.
First Impressions
Our First Impressions volunteers welcome members and guests as they arrive each weekend, and help them prepare for an incredible worship experience at Cornerstone Church. The First Impressions ministry consists of the Parking Team, Greeters, and Ushers.
Contact Pastor Paul Conti for more information.
Sound Team
The Sound Team provides audio support for various ministries using the Sanctuary and Connection Center. This includes, but is not limited to, weekend services, Bible studies, seminars, weddings, prayer meetings, worship and communion services, baptisms, CD recording, and band rehearsals. Tasks include equipment set up, sound board operation, and tear down after services/events. The Sound Team also provides limited support for Creative Arts, including location recording and sound effects for live dramas. Previous experience providing sound or other technical support for live events is a plus, but it is not necessary. Anyone with a desire to serve can be trained for this ministry.
Contact the Sound Team for more information.
Lighting Team
Members of the Lighting Team design and program the lighting for our services. Their goal is to help create an atmosphere that encourages people to draw closer to God as through worship. The Lighting Team seeks to enhance the Cornerstone experience, and to allow our visitors to feel welcome and at home.
Contact Pastor Skip Murphy for more information.
Media & Video Team
The Weekend Media & Video Team is responsible for all of the media projected on our screens during our services, as well as for the video simulcast on the televisions throughout the building. The Media & Video Team is an integral part of the weekend experience, working closely with the band leader, our senior pastor, and various guest speakers throughout the year. It’s a fun and exciting way to serve and learn about video production. No previous experience is necessary.
Contact Gretchen Wanger or Vincent Nel for more information.

Contact Phil Day for more information.
Mission Java/Merced Java
Mission Java and Merced Java help welcome our guests by providing light food and beverages. Additional responsibilities include preparing bagels (Sunday only) and coffee, operating the cash register, and clean up after closing.
